01Describe the frontage before the roof
For a Calcot scaffolding enquiry, show the ground in front of the building as well as the work above. A driveway, parking bay, garage or entrance can affect the access layout. Mark which route must remain usable, particularly if people will be living or working at the property throughout the project.
02Confirm the local authority by address
An area name alone does not establish the highway boundary. Supply the full site address when discussing permissions and allow the provider to confirm the responsible authority. If any part of the scaffold reaches a pavement or another public route, resolve the licence requirements before fixing the erection programme.
03Solar and roof work need coordinated access
Where panels are being installed alongside roofing repairs, ask both trades to explain their requirements. Panel handling, roof slopes and work dates should be shared with the scaffold provider. Access prepared for one trade should not be assumed to cover another activity without the intended use being reviewed.
