01Maintenance while premises stay in use
For a Theale shop, office or occupied home, note the entrances, delivery route and areas that need to remain accessible. Explain the working hours and any restrictions on unloading. The provider can then assess the site with those needs in mind rather than designing access around an empty building assumption.
02Keep the building programme connected
If refurbishment includes roof, masonry and window work, obtain the requirements of each trade before requesting the scaffold. Separate completion dates can change the hire period. A coordinated scope is especially useful when access would otherwise need repeated adjustments as the works move between elevations.
03Allow time for highway questions
A scaffold on or over a public route may need permission from the highway authority. Send the complete address and photographs of the street frontage. Check who is applying and how the approved period fits the work. The proposed installation date should remain subject to the necessary permissions being in place.
