01Bring the garden route into the enquiry
For scaffolding to a rear roof or wall in Emmer Green, photograph the path from the unloading point to the working area. Gates, garden steps and changes in level can affect the proposed arrangement. Explain any routes that cannot be used, rather than leaving the provider to discover them when installation is due.
02Roofline work can be grouped sensibly
If gutter replacement, fascia work and roof repairs are all planned, ask the trades to define the combined scope. Access to one section of eaves may not cover the rest of the roofline. Confirm which elevations need a platform and the order of work so the scaffold period reflects the whole programme.
03Ground conditions deserve a wide photograph
A photograph taken only upwards hides the area where the scaffold would stand. Include the driveway, patio or garden below, together with drains and visible changes of surface. The provider needs to assess support conditions. Do not assume a convenient flat-looking surface is automatically a suitable base.
