01Separate public access from private land
For a Pangbourne frontage beside a footway, show where the scaffold could stand and where people would pass. A business entrance or delivery point adds further questions. Highway permission and any site conditions need checking in advance; having room beside the building does not by itself establish permission to use it.
02Occupied shops and business premises
If a commercial property remains in use, identify opening hours, delivery arrangements and the entrances that must stay available. Share the contractor’s scope and programme with the scaffold provider. This helps the project team assess installation and dismantling around the building’s actual operating requirements.
03Roof and chimney enquiries need the wider view
A chimney photograph should show its position on the roof, while a re-roof enquiry should identify every slope involved. Add the building height and any rear additions. These details make the initial scope clearer and help establish whether a site visit or further drawings are needed.
